This was a fun one to do. Been reading a lot of Andrew Lang’s “Fairy Books”. Right now I am on the “Crimson” book. And all the illustrations of knights, dragons, trolls, and everything in between got me turned on to churn out some akin to. In addition to that i’ve also been looking to torture methods in the medieval era and one thing that stuck out to me were these “flying cages”. Individual cages there prisoners of the gallow would be confinded to, and hung outside of castles or buildings. Suspended in air with no ground to rest on, you’re left in a crouching or stand position until you die or you’re near death. Thought it was a cool idea. So I drew it.
